Wow! Reading comics just for escape and not as material for study! That’s an idea!

Comics, the ultimate form of education.

I resemble that remark.

But “graphic novels” has such a lofty ring to it. Of course they also sound like the kind of printed material that existed in “Fahrenheit 451” (all pictures, no words).

There’s always time for comics.

When I used to work l always look for the comics in my daily paper. Sunday was the best. I used to read the comics with my kids first thing in the morning. Now that l am retired, get the news on line and then Gocomics. The first two hours of my day belong to my cup of coffee, the news and Gocomics (in that order) after that, the rest of the chores l planned for the day. Is good to be retired!

OMG – that’s exactly what I do! ignore the dishes, the unswept floors, dirty laundry… whatever mundane chores! I love comix!

…and don’t feel any guilt…

So true! I’m supposed to be cleaning house for guests, but here I sit!

Someone, expecting a scathing condemnation, once asked my elementary school principal how she felt about kids reading comic books. Her response: “At least they’re reading something.”

Duh! How true.

and yet we manageit is all a matter of prioritiesand we show what ours are by leaving these notes

No human activity is more noble or worthwhile. (In life, I try not to overreach.)
