It is such a blessing to see G-d’s creatures, isn’t it? We have a pair of foxes that den in the woods behind us, and a mama raccoon that lives on the other side of the stream. Lots of dog food for everybody.

Here in Arizona is is forbidden to hunt porcupines. The reason is that because they are slow moving and easy to kill by humans, they are kept protected as a food source for people who are lost in the forest. They can kill a porcupine with nothing but a big stick, and live on it for a number of days until they can be found.
