Out of curiosity, how long has Brian Crane been writing “Pickles”?

I feel you…in a chat room not long ago someone asked me if Roger Moore was a singer! I’ve also been told that Elvis was a basketball player. The biggest laugh I have ever had from one of my students was when a kid about 15 came to me, big-eyed, and said, “Did you know Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings?”

Uh, yeah.

All things are relative to your point in time. I still remember the plane flying over our part of southwest Pa. on 911 and thinking at that time why is that plane flying at such a weird angle(was outside putting garbage in a dumpster) later I found out what happened and now it is history.

I like Peanuts best before the introduction of Peppermint Patty and Marcy and the phasing out of Violet, Patty and Shermy.

I love it when comic strips pay tribute to other strips, especially Peanuts, the arguable king of them all.

It confused my nephew when I referred to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey as a movie about the future

Just the other evening we were in a small casino where they were playing a lot of Beatle’s music. During “Michelle” I commented on all of the Beatle songs that were being played that night and she said she wasn’t familiar with that group (she was in her mic-20’s). I told her it was McCartney’s old group and that it was him singing at the moment, and she was very surprised.

Anytime before I was born is the olden days.

When my grandson ( who just turned 18 the other day ) was very small, he asked me if I was really old. I told him that no matter how old he got, I’d still be a half a century ahead of him.It took him several years to figure that one out.

My wife & I went into our Credit Union to take some cash out for our vacation to Washington DC, the teller who was in her mid-40’s asked “Which one is DC? the one by New York or near the Pacific Ocean?”. I had to leave the bank, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t stop.

Peanuts is next in my comic queue after Pickles.I love this strip today.R.I.P Charles Schulz(1922-2000)xxx

It was the olden days to Nelson, he wasn’t born yet.

So far I’ve been the only one to comment on “Peanuts” regarding “Pickles’” (I forgot to add the apostrophe there) comment on “Peanuts.”

Those who imagine a conflict between science and religion, should have met my father. 65 years in the Methodist ministry and three Upper Cretaceous fossils to his credit. He died suddenly after turning in his just completed nature column to the local paper, which was published opus postumous. I carry on the tradition, but with nowhere near the skill nor success.

I remember the day it happened and @alcors3 – The comic has never died.
