unfortunately, he didn’t spot the squall coming in which blew his ship off course, where he landed on a deserted isle, where he discovered the skeletal remains of seven castaways who had been on a three hour tour.a three hour tour.

…we Americans claim to love our freedom all the while we work dead end thankless jobs that keep us in debt just enough to keep us working for a two week vacation…meanwhile our CEO chiefs light their fat cigars with hundred dollar bills that they stole from our benefit packages…at least this is what I get from this cartoon…

No Tom Sawyer reference but a Huck Finn reference.
