I must have defective kids, mine just got mad when the things stopped working and took it apart to “see why it died”

Beni, Kevin, Nara, Alice, and Marcus look like All the King’s Men failing to put Humpty-Dumpty together again. Dill has probably wound up with the best part of the deal, getting rocked by Miss Bliss in the rocking chair!

I like that Mrs. Bliss isn’t questioning Dill or insisting on knowing why he is sad. Instead she just accept that he is and plops him down to comfort him without trying to force or fix the issue.

I got very misty-eyed during Patrick Swayze’s good-bye scene with Demi Moore in “Ghost”.

The church I work at has a preschool. Teachers know I’ve offered to be the rocker/comforter for kids who need a lap and a cuddle at the preschool. Only had a coupe of kids this session, but it’s so nice.

Sometimes things make me cry that I don’t know why, I don’t know why.

Oh, gee, a couple of people in my office died and I didn’t turn a hair. But one afternoon I was driving home from work and heard over the radio that Flo-Jo (Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner, who was “the world’s fastest woman”), had died suddenly from seizure disorder at the age of 38. I found myself blubbering, and wondered what in the world was going on. I had seen her at the Olympics, maybe ten years previously, but hadn’t thought of her much since then. Nowadays just about anything will set me off.
