May not be a coincidence. Cartoonists like Stephan Pastis and Darby Conley frequently collaborate with others to have similar themes published at the same time.

Susan is right, both strips had to be submitted weeks ago, and no, there was no collaboration, just a weird synchronicity.

Note that Cliff is still pretty two-dimensional . . .
