Pathetic in more ways than one, since they’re playing Snooker, shouldn’t the Blue have been spotted before Andy took his next shot? presumably on a Red!

Proper crabby. Not anymore

Today’s strip goes past sad, lame, and pathetic and snuggles comfortably into just plain embarrassing. How anyone with pretensions of professionalism could submit this dreck is beyond me. Never mind, let’s talk snooker.

For those not familiar, the game is played with 15 red balls and 6 numbered balls. Play consists of pocketing a red ball, then a numbered ball of your choice, at which point the numbered ball is re-spotted and so on until all the red balls are pocketed. The numbered balls are then sunk in order until the table is cleared. Snooker is more difficult than regular pool as the table is larger, the pockets are smaller, and pocketing a ball requires an almost perfect shot. Luck is much less a factor. I totally agree that this is used mostly as a chat room. I would not even read Andy Capp if it wasn’t for the chats and the great comics posted here. BTW – I scoff at your scarf.
