    My guess is that the roads were getting progressively worse, and taking percautions, Roddney had the climbing gear with him. Sounds like the roads in my home town.

    I remember in the ‘70s when Phila paper had photos of its Largest Pothole in America, with just the rear of a lady’s cadillac protruding

    I’ve never understood fixing potholes and putting up speed bumps. Looks to me like the potholes do the same trick and are just as good for your car.
