There’s not much point if it isn’t big enough to read.

Seems like the same type of violence we are seeing today in schools, except this is kindergarten. A look into the future perhaps?

We had been at war with Spain until July 17, 1898, when the Spanish surrendered after the Spanish American War. I don’t know if the animosity continued, as shown here with the student blasting Spain off the globe

@Caraporam, not so much a look into the future as a reminder that rowdy children are nothing new, and each generation of elders despairs of the young generation coming up. “We were never so decadent and disrespectful of our elders!” Yes we were.

To read these older comics, click on it, and then you can enlarge it enough to make it readable – works well!

Had to put this on the TV to read it. A whole 5 cents for the paper.

After clicking to enlarge, right-click and select “View Image”. That will open just the image. You can then use “Ctrl+” to enlarge even more. Hope that helps!

On today’s comic: I suspect a lot of the jokes on the board came from music hall comedians such as Weber & Fields who are featured in the comment from the fellow by the globe. http://www.musicals101.com/1890-1900b.htm

Enlarging helps a little, but it’s still a bit blurry.
