    Poor, poor lamp… – Not to make “light” of the subject, but he’s gotten so “heavy”, there must have been a time when that lamp and maybe even a toaster would have fit as he wrapped the belt around… now he not only needs a belt but also another lamp! She’ll be a bit cross at that!

    I think she’s referring to the fact that the lamp is making him adjust where he buckles the belt — thus, the illusion of more weight.
