NSA was originally supposed to monitor only international calls – anything coming into or leaving the US. But Bush/Cheney’s USA/Patriot Act changed that.

I don’t think they should worry, there are ‘off the wall’ legislators who have been communicating with their ufo friends for ages…..

At a restaurant with a group of friends yesterday the NSA came up and we were joking about it. Thing is, once you learn to laugh at something you’ve dismissed it. Be a shame to lose sight of this one.

So… The NSA starts the robot revolt when they try and recruit them as spies…

Thank you, Wiley Miller. I hoped our country would move in a healthier direction after Nixon left office, but here we are 40 years later, and things are worse than ever.

I usually don’t respond to your off the wall comments any more than I do to those on the “other” side of the political minefield but I want to set you straight on something. The NSA was around long before the Bush & Cheney years. Prior to Homeland Security’s umbrella take over of agencies after 9/11, the NSA was the ultimate spy center. It was unnoticed and unheralded. Its power was only feared by some who were “in the know”. There exist, outside of fiction and fantasy, smaller, unknown agencies that work under the congressional radar but none had the sweep ( pun intended ) of the spooks at NSA.And yes, my comment on this forum might elicit a “ping” but I’m neither that egocentric nor paranoid to care or even give it credibility.

I dunno… the NSA vs Danae? I’ll bet my money on her.

Has it occurred to anyone that if someone brought a robot drone back from the future that the government ought to know about it? Or has W.M. just been too busy reveling in his own self-superiority?

My wife works with refugees many with Arabic sounding names. Her emails sometimes read like the Terhan telephone directory. She calls her sister overseas each week. Yup we’ve been pinged.

According to my wife, usually about 30 minutes into the conversation there is a ping on the line that’s when one of them says, “Time to talk about menepause again.”

This one goes directly to my “favorites” queue.

My wife and I were in the public PX. (WallyWorld) We looked at an item that we were considering. We didn’t do anything but pick it up and set it back down. Next thing I’m being covered up by ads for this very item. Banners on the websites I visited and in the daily deals they send out. I get all of this because I refill prescriptions online. They don’t hVe my financials so I’m good.

Move along.that’s not the drone you were looking for.

I heard the NSA once banned Furbys from their offices because they were scared they could record conversations, What a bunch of paranoids! ( To anyone in the agency that is reading this… Go find someone else to spy on, you goofballs!)
