Toilet paper mathematics should be required to finish High School. It is an applied life requirement. Among the things in life you cannot avoid is Taxes, water, using the toilet and death.

I usually do that with paper towels. But you have to remember to check the dimensions of the sheets too, or you end up with more sheets but less total paper towel.

I have to use my phone’s calculator. Every brand has different size rolls, and different size sheets, and the units for the so-called unit pricing varies from brand to brand. So I need to do the division and compute the price-per-square-foot for every different package in order to figure out what’s the best deal.

    Ditto for paper towels.

The stores could make this easier by following their own rules and displaying unit prices with consistent units, but they don’t. It’s all a great big con job from manufacturer through retailer, to make it as hard as possible to figure out what you’re actually buying.

My daughter, the soft(thick, toilet and drain clogging) TP fan just bought her first house, it has a septic system. Now her husband can learn a more info than he ever wanted about where it all goes.

Ugh, first how many ounces does something have, now how long is the toilet paper roll?

I’ve noticed that some brands’ rolls aren’t as wide as they used to be, so that can add to the confusion when calculating value. I buy the brand that works the best for me, figuring that I’ll use less of it, since it is more durable.I usually buy the cheapest paper towels, but when it comes to TP, I’m pickier.

Dummy, you put it under the cart above the wheels. Otherwise you won’t be able to fit anything else in the cart.

What do you mean 2 people? They’re a family of 5 since they have Norm, Patrick and the girl.

You could save a bundle by using just your left hand and water, like they do in India. You’d have to keep those fingernails short, though!

No, I buy the bargain size packaging even for one. When either of my 2 favorite brands has a bargain size it goes home (that way it lasts longer before re-purchasing). I store a little in all 3 bathrooms and the rest in the garage. I never run out.
