When I was a child, I had the same thoughts, but I cannot stand it without meat, I don’t need much of it, but one or two times the week I need it. I get weak without it.

Among the many things you Don’t Want To Know, the top of the list is what’s in the hotdogyou’re eating. That probably goes for hamburger as well. Still, it’s a bit odd that theCalvin who thrives on stewed duck brains should suddenly go all queasy over a bit of cow…..

He has obviously never had to deal with cows on a long term basis. Hamburger is tasty revenge.

If Calvin’s mother were Bart Simpson, she would be saying, “Don’t have a cow, man!” But, in this case, Calvin is already refusing to have a cow.Of course, if Calvin’s mother were Bart Simpson, Calvin would also have far worse problems.

A kid in junior high once said “I just realized I’m eating a live cow!” I said “No, you’re eating a dead cow.” He said “That’s even worse!” and just ate the bun.

Eating cow is normal. Eating ground people from Hamburg would be gross…so Calvin would be all in.

By the way, in the early Peanuts strip above, that’s baby Schroeder with Charlie Brown.

Mom should’ve said it’s made from ham and boogers. Then he would wolf it down.

Get a meat grinder. Buy beef in bulk and grind your own. Only takes about 10 minutes to cut up and grind a chunk of beef.

When I was in the military, I was stationed in Japan. I got there a month before my wife did and was eating various types of Japanese food. As long as it did not have eyeballs or tentacles, I’d eat it even though I didn’t always know what I was eating.

Then my wife joined me and learned how to cook some Japanese meals. It was too late then, I had already gotten used to eating whatever it was and knowing no longer made a difference.

I remember when I learned that hamburgers were made of cow. It bothered me at the time but I got over it.
