Thanks to all of you for your very kind words regarding Ballard LIFE Magazine and Nosy Neighbor News. This particular issue was a little daunting to put together since there were so many strips to choose from. I even found a few that were from years ago before the strip was in color, so I added color to those.

I’m so glad that you all enjoy it! It’s a fun way to look back at some of Jerry’s past work!

Miss Millie High Maintenance bought out the newstand at her favorite corner – you know, the one that has the Gucci Gitchie Goo Baby Store and Glitter Emporium…She wrapped them as gifts for far flung Ballard Street walkers who walked a bit too far and can no long access its wonderfully good news. She had to have help carrying them so she bought some cupcakes to keep them enticed on the way in case her own lovely scent didnt quite do the job…

The truth can finally be revealed. Out of the basement and into the light of day. Fond memories of "C"s", and "G"s" come flooding back and floating in. Those were the days. Balloons and vice grips. Purple lips and starry eyes. The original stair way to heaven is still the greatest. The sounds of paradise. Yes the Rolling Stones were right, Jumping Jack Flash…it’s a Gas Gas Gas….Oh Dan could go on and on, but he’s a little busy right now, come back in an hour or so, he’ll be here or the bottle will be empty. This is more than a Center. It is the Center. It’s the high that keeps on giving. It’s a sneak preview of tomorrow’s daydream. That’s right Alice, you are not in Kansas, and you’re not on the planet. For those of you who took your bicycles to the astral plain, better pedal like a bat out of hell or stay as far to right of the Milky Way as you can, cause Dan is on the move. Dan sees himself as unencumbered. If you ever wanted to see the Statue of Liberty with a smile on her face, just look at Dan and you won’t have to imagine much. Oh sweet lady, you look like you are about to take off and with your new traveling partner, Dan the Man, streaming and screaming were never more fun than the heavy breathing, the sweet pause and the exaltation of exhalation. Oh never mind any of that, just breath in and the rest will take care of itself.

Oh Monkey…. I’m running after him but he runs awfully fast for an old guy…puff…puff….
