Glad to know Toggle thinks Alex is hot… There is more to beauty than mascara and lipstick.

Too bad The Beatles didn’t have someone like Sherm (from the third panel) during the “Let It Be” era. Yoko may not have even set foot in the studio. Of course, she wasn’t to blame for all their problems at that time.

Yoko was not the cause of the Beatles’ problems; she was at worst one symptom of strife and drift within the band. (He says as if John confided in him during late night sessions drinking whisky.)

“Too bad she isn’t there to hear this discussion.”But Alex may have picked up on Sherman’s “Uh . . .”

I’m coming back as a super hot chick in my next life and causing lots of trouble.

Yoko ‘performed’ on the Letterman show a week + ago, and woke me from a sound snooze.. I thought a CAT was being tortured, fergawdsake…The applause was..um, ‘polite.’

I know it’s old hat and a bit off topic from the strip, but I still wonder what John saw in Yoko. As an “artist” she …. well… sucks! (IMHO)

No one in the art world thinks much of her creations. I only heard of one gallery that carried her work (don’t know if it still does); and she hasn’t had a major installation in years.

About her personality, I can only go with what I’ve been told from the several people I know who have met her: She thinks she’s royalty because of her association with John Lennon. “She’s really boring” is a common comment.

A mystery about that relationship. Either he really liked her (to each his own, I guess), or their relationship was one long “shock gimmick” like the in-bed press conference they gavel; and the nude album/poster cover they did – maybe the whole relationship thing was her idea of “art.”

Or, she may have been terrifically interesting when he was alive. After he died, she stagnated into the “John Lennon’s widow” thing and never grew on her own any further. Some people feel that’s what happened to Coretta Scott King. Jackie Kennedy, on the other hand, had a heck of a life after.

This is another repeat and a continuation of last week’s second-run story arc — I thought Sunday’s strip hinted that vacation was over and we would start getting new strips again.

Indeed, it was a hint, but the widely accepted date for new weekdays is Nov 18.

This one brings to mind She’s So Beautiful (even when she’s not) [worth the 5:14] by one of my favorite duos, Berkley Hart of San Diego. I’ve met the lady at the Coffee Gallery; she IS.

I hear that McCartney & Yoko have publicly announced that they are friends now.
