Yes, the parents passed away and she took them in. As for being selfish . . . yes, she ate all the candy, but she will buy more. Plus, notice how thin she is, she burns a lot of energy taking care of those two . . . and probably has ulcers to boot. Therefore candy is the right treatment/reward for her.

She is, in fact, the most unselfish Grandma around – raising the twins alone and loving them unconditionally. Parents are deceased, I think.
