I’m not surprised that he would climb the tree. One year I had to pry a kitten off the tree, while getting stabbed with needles and cat claws. My older sister was then ordered to get rid of him, since she was the one who brought him home. Candy canes don’t always get hung on the tree. lol
Oh, so that’s what’s going on: Garfield climbed up into the tree to await its decoration with candy canes. I hope he likes cellophane; no one I know who still bothers to decorate with candy canes also bothers to unwrap them before hanging them.
