I do use Facebook. Check it a few minutes every day. Since I haven’t lived in my home town for more than thirty years, I find it a great way to keep in touch with old friends I had lost touch with. Which has led to actual physical connections that would not have otherwise taken place. Also use it for work. Like all tools, it’s how you use it (or abuse it).

I opened a Facebook account but never used it. Same with Twitter. I go to the pages once in awhile just to keep them active.
