Off the subject, sort of…..can anyone explain why, when a giant jug of Kool-Aid comes crashing through an outside wall, everybody’s happy to see him/it? Personally, I’d be just a little ticked off…..
As much as I DID dislike Pelosi as Speaker (“impeachment is off the table”), Boehner is the least competent Speaker in the history of the House. That he has the least sane, and competent, Representatives in the history of the House on his side of the aisle, doesn’t excuse his failures. At least the TEA nuts in the Senate, even though abusing the filibuster worse than in any Congress in history as well, don’t have a majority.
Yes it isn’t TEA in that pot, but the same content as that little pill Goering had access to, so he could avoid hanging.
the purpose behind this was the republicans laser-like focus on jobs. With the economy improving daily, and obama’s sequestration (remember the republicans gave Obama credit for that) lowering the debt, the republicans had to do something to scuttle whatever job creation, consumer confidence and immediate unemployment numbers they could. the 25 billion this little antic caused should “help” the numbers they want under this black president so they can prove their point. It seems that only about 25% of the low information republicans are buying their kool aide. and judging from the intelligence of their proponents on this board, I don’t think they are buying it either, but they sure are willing to keep on selling it.

Great drawing. Boehner looks like he’s trapped in a Giles cartoon.
