Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for October 24, 2013
Transcript:
Marigold: Find me an object with Dakota's magical signature. Phoebe: Her signature isn't as "magical" as she thinks it is. She writes the "O" as a heart. Kind of a cliche, if you ask me. Marigold: I meant, find me something she has touched. Phoebe: Oh! You mean you need her COOTIES.

That pencil topper will do.

yes thats one way of putting it. reminds me of how kids bug each other by just touching or not touching things. like how you can put a finger in some ones personal space and say “Im not touching you” or how you can freak some one out by taping his stuff and claiming it as yours by getting your germs on it.

Seems Phoebe isn’t taking this situation as seriously as she ought to (but then again, we are talking about Dakota, so… what’s the worst that could happen?)

Marigold is looking especially nice in panel 4.

As Master Sean O Lochlainn (the world’s greatest forensic sorcerer) is fond of observing:
“According to the Law of Contagion, any two objects which have ever been in contact with each other have an affinity for each other which is directly proportional to the product of the degree of relevancy of the contact and the length of time they were in contact and inversely proportional to the length of time since they have ceased to be in contact.”

I thought cooties went out between when I was a kid and now, sort of like carburetors and stick shifts.

“Magical Signature”! Oh where was Marigold when I was of an age to be accused of having cooties

Phoebe has misunderstood “signature.” Well, at least Marigold didn’t say “aura.”

“magical signature” is the preferred nomenclature.
