Maybe instead of showing photos to cats, they’re posting photos OF cats online.

I suffer from an incredible lack of curiosity concerning my high school classmates. I graduated 32 years ago, and I’ve never attended a single reunion.

“Being unpopular and the victim of bullying in school, I don’t give a rat’s @$$ where my classmates are or what they’re doing.”

Susan, it’s good to see someone else who feels as I do. When they called me for my 10 year reunion, I said You weren’t interested in me then, why should I be interested in you now. Don’t call me again. At least they got the message.

True story – decades ago I was called into the IRS to take care of some very old unfilled taxes. The guy I met with really hated working for the IRS; we mostly talked about our common home town and we shared pictures of our cats we carried in our wallets!

Every time my best friend from high school sees me, she has to first check to see if all my roots are gray before any other conversation. When I had to attend my brother-in-law’s funeral and she was there, she commented on my gray roots. I told her I would have done my roots that morning, but I had to drive a long way to the funeral and that I do them every third Saturday, and that was the third Saturday. Her response was equivalent to “Yeah, right!” “I just bet you do.” “You aren’t telling the truth.” Negative body language along with an “Oh, uhhhhhahhhh.” Get the picture? Some people never change after high school.

Re: bullying..I was bullied at school between the ages of 11 and 14. At first it was because I had an Australian accent, then because I just didn’t fit in..After I left school, those bullies were better friends than the “nice” kids as they no longer fitted in and had come to understand the way I felt. Some apologised and one even said “Thank you” because I spoke to him and all his old friends no longer wanted to know him as he was addicted to cocaine.

I went to one reunion (the only one) but there weren’t many there.

Yeah, some kids hang on to past resentments so it poisons their present.“forgiveness is letting go of the hope that the past could have been different.” Oprah
