If I was the Maitre’d and assuming I have dealt with the Penny’s rudeness,cheap tips and the like I would told with a smile Burr. that all the other people waiting ahead of him are in the same boat so He would have to wait his turn and I would expect to seat his party in about 2 hours.
By now the people they vaulted are leaving and giving them looks that could kill………not that this bunch of louts would care….and I’m sure that the extra creamers will be headed out the door….and the tip will be meager…and….(sigh)…I give up.
Looks like the Maitre’d is reaching for something under the table……meat-cleaver? Machete? Cat-O-Nine-Tails? Hanging-rope? That rocket-launcher like Little Guard Duck in Pearls Before Swine totes around for just such occasions? We’ll likely never know!!
The staff saw the claim of being “in a hurry” as an excuse to get these sweatshirt wearing dolts out the door fast, but little do they know the Pennys.

The restauranteur accorded Pennys and party VIP accordiations and the thanks he got was boorish!
