I agree about the point of view & the bushes…. but where is the house?? It looks like the bushed go behind the step Earl is sitting on in all of panels 2, 4 & 7.
The viewing angle change in the last panel just looks to me like the “camera” has moved in a wide half-circle, zooming out and down a bit. Maybe the bushes should extend out a bit farther past grandpa, if drawn perfectly, but I never would have noticed if it hadn’t been brought up.
It always surprises me how many people get confused and bothered by changes in viewing angle in comic strips.
