Modestly enlarged image can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry. It is a detail image of By the Table (link shows the painting’s Google translated French Wikipedia page), shown, with a different coloration, click-to-humongous image (compliments of the Google Art Project page), and described, by its current-location page. The Google translated page has links to the translated French Wikipedia pages of the participants, some have English versions.Another different coloration image, along with a short description, can be found here. Maybe Mr. Melcher deleted Camille Pelletan, to create the detailed image, because he isn’t dressed as formally. The artist’s Wikipedia page (Google translated French Wikipedia page has more) and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).Second, of the 3 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.
Comments are funnier- especially No6 and Pcolli. I never read anything written by those authors, not even familiar with their names, I must admit. Most interesting that Melcher cropped it to leave off the only one not dressed in black (at far right, may have been part of the composition of the artist).
