The last movie I went to in a theater was the one with Bruce Willis and the kid who said “I see dead people.”It was ruined by yakkers on cell phones. I won’t go to another.
I have no problem commenting on cell phone conversations that are held in public. Then when I get told to “mind my own business” I usually reply, “OH! I’m sorry. Was that supposed to be a private conversation?”
When cell phones were fairly new, an insurance man was on the phone – quite loudly – with a client. When he hung up, my sister went over and asked him if he was aware that every person in the restaurant knew his client’s name, address, birthday, SSN, etc. The man was thunderstruck. Private conversation, indeed.
