So sad that someone with a college degree didn’t learn anything in sixth grade grammar class. “Give I a lift” How sad. For anyone who doesn’t understand; the correct grammar is “give Ned and me a lift”. I couldn’t find a way to contact McPherson directly, maybe someone will enlighten him.
Yeah, clunky grammar there all around, but what are you going to do, y’know? Besides, some ignorant teachers actually DO teach their students grammar like this, under the misconception that it’s right. It’s not, though, just for the record.
But that said, I can still appreciate the gag being made here. Especially seeing that Boise’s in my neck of the woods. :P
