So, now it’s officially a kidnapping investigation, although I’m not sure whether there will be a ransom demand involved. I guess that’s not imperative for it to be a “kidnapping.”
The art today is truly spectacular. I especially like the last panel but I could say a lot of good things about the first two panels, too, especially the hand in Panel 2.
Nice tough Tracy profile (with shadowing) in panel 1. If the security camera tapes caught the Death Coach, Tracy should be able to break this Abner abduction case wide open. “Columbia” is most likely in the police data base for something or other….
Of course, in reality Tracy would have been immediately pulled off of the case because it’s his relatives and he’s too close emotionally and all the other stuff you hear about in modern police dramas — fortunately for us, this is Comicstown, and Dick Tracy is far from modern.
“If hey can find a CCTV camera that showed the two boarding that carriage.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Right. But remember they parked the carriage in the “northeast corner of the lot” (Nov 28th) so it just might be out of a camera’s view. Hmmmm !
Savannah Jack said: Better we let is stay a “missing persons” report for the time being, kay?JPuzzleWhiz said: I think “abduction” would be a more proper term for it.
You can call it what you want, but Tracy himself called it a kidnapping (in bold!) in Panel 3.
Strictly speaking it’s not even a missing persons case since neither of the persons (Uncle Ray and Bonnie Braids) have been missing for 24 hours and there really isn’t evidence of violence or that it’s an really unusual absence.

Great to see Tracy starring!

You know what would make Dick Tracy even more awesome, if he fought crime with a fireman axe just like Axe Cop.

Not to be critical, but, wouldn’t someone have noticed a horse drawn hearse going by, with two people “sleeping” in it?

Oh something’s going to come up all right, and Tracy will put one and one together pretty quickly when he sees that coach.

Things are finally starting to get interesting again. We’ve been in build-up mode for a while now.

The first panel of Tracy. Outstanding.

Not all kidnappings fall under Federal jurisdiction. Right now Tracy would still be in charge.

Sam – from that angle, in the last panel…is amazing. In fact, they all are. Wonderful work!
