Wingnuts, give it up. Instead of whining about universal healthcare how about pressuring Congress to pass legislation that would put people back to work?

I canā€™t wait for the time when all wingnuts will be rounded up and prosecuted without due process.

Response to echoraven, yesterday:.My comments began as a second to the motion posted by TJDestry when he said that he expected more from Stantis. And I fully agree..My thanks to echoraven, who was gracious enough to allow that Democrats actually had good intentions when they contemplated Obamacare. By the by, a well stated opinion, and again, thanks..And, even a thank you goes out to exoticdoc2, who must wait until 11 PM local time (when Go Comics drops the next dayā€™s strips) in order to be the first to post on this site, always making sure to use the word, ā€œObamanation,ā€ in an apparent reference to the Prophet Danielā€™s Abomination of Desolation. Doc, more fully than anybody else, you make my point for me!.And that point is: The strip has become devoid of meaning. All we hear day after day after day is ā€œā€™Bamaā€™ ā€˜Bamaā€™ ā€˜Bama,ā€™ Evil, Evil, Evil,ā€ with nothing new or meaningful..I agree with echoraven that, unfortunately, Obamacare has become a binary issue; you either love it or hate it and there seems to be no middle ground..But I am coming to doubt that Stantis has any intention of ever ā€œfleshing outā€ what the Bunny means or finds so evil about Obamacare. Stantis has been running this Bunny for about a year (it only seems like longer); if he had had any intention of fleshing out this character, he would have, could have, should have long, long ago..Scott, I expect better than this. And, Sundays, you give it to us! Yes, I still enjoy your Sunday panels. I love the banter between Carmen and Winslow. To me, thatā€™s what Prickly City was all about. Yes, Winslow is a liberal, but he isnā€™t evil. Well-intentioned, idealistic, a bit gullible and naĆÆve, but not evil..Most of all, Carmen and Winslow are friends, this despite their political and ideological differences. This needs to be embraced!.What I fear is that Scott is falling into the trap that too many of us (especially on this forum) have fallen into, which is this:.If I disagree with you, then I must be maliciously evil, a criminal, in dire need of being put in jail, impaled, with no bail or parole. Of course, Iā€™m expected to think the same of you..Which is precisely how our country has gotten into the mess itā€™s into right now: The belief that ā€œIā€™m right and everyone else needs to be removed, then I can set everything right again!ā€.Last, and certainly least: Of late, it appears that Kevin (the Bunny) has replaced Winslow as Carmenā€™s foil. This I consider the most disturbing trend of all. This I consider at least evidence of my position that Stantis has joined the Rush Limbaughā€™s, Sean Hannityā€™s, and Glenn Beckā€™s of this world, promoting that anything that doesnā€™t agree with them must be the enemy!

Ionizer: I donā€™t see a Potsie commenting in todayā€™s strip. Do you mean Portzebie?.Little matter. Iā€™m just trying to say that I expect more of Scott. These Bunny strips say less in six days than one Sunday strip, featuring Carmen and Winslow..A very delightful exception was the week in November when we had the prairie dogsā€¦.Dogday88: Yeah, I forgot that one. It counts, too. But it is symbolic of how divided we have become: If you donā€™t agree, you must be the enemy!.Walt Kelly said it best: ā€œWe have met the enemy, and he is us!ā€

Iā€™m afraid that I have to join the crowd of folks agreeing that the current problem with Stantisā€™ work isnā€™t the politics per se, but that thereā€™s nothing either funny or original in the way he presents what is supposedly meant to have an element of humor.

edvacation: Thank you for saying what I tried to say. You said it in a much more concise ā€“ and probably far more readable form!

@cheapskate0 ā€œA very delightful exception was the week in November when we had the prairie dogsā€¦ā€

In other wordsā€¦ "I liked it when he made jokes about people ā€œIā€ donā€™t like. THAT was funny. Making fun of people I do like is wrong and hurtful."

    Double standard much?
