Elizabeth: How can you afford to live here? Michael: I'm getting an amazing deal on the rent. All I have to do is maintain the property, pay his bills, forward his mail...and look after his plants.

4/7/2000: Michael said to Weed: “All he (the owner) asked me to do was Pay the Rent, keep the place clean, and water the plants.” Seems the story has changed a bit.

He’s summarizing both times. Maybe the story is not exactly the same, but the basics are there and I’m sure he knows what’s expected of him.
