Phoebe: In stories every bad guy wants to "rule the world." But that sounds like a lot of work to me. Marigold: Oh, it is. Long ago, unicorns ruled the world for almost an hour. Then we gave up. Phoebe: Not worth the stress? Marigold: Also, every unicorn wished to pose for the unicorn flag.

Doctor Doom actually took over the world once in Marvel. He gave it back because he deemed ruling the world to be too small of a goal for him, and actually running the place would be far too time-consuming and take him away from his pursuits of other forms of power.

Well you could fill the flag with every unicorn just make them very very small. Like the stars on the American Flag we got 50 of those suckers! As long as theres not more then 50 unicorns in the world at that time it would be ok.

The unicorns discovered that the world does not require ruling. It got by just fine for 3 billion years until humans invented the concept. Its been one act of evil after another ever since.

Yes, in bad fiction everywhere – especially in comic books – the villains either want to 1) rule the world or 2) destroy the world. Which has always made me wonder why they didn’t just try running for office, which would be a heck of a lot cheaper and less hassle than raising armies of minions and building super weapons, or in the second case, where they thought they would live if they succeeded in destroying the world? I can just imagine legions of uniforns looking around at the world, shouting “Blaart!” and giving up on the whole idea.

I actually do rule the world. At my whim, I get all the food I like, all the webcomics I like, all the TV I like, and everyone else does the work to bring it to me. Very few people in the world do not ultimately serve me.

If u take out the speech bubbles, the last panel makes a pretty good flag
