Our dear friend Alfred Yankovic still plays a mean accordion in his concerts (haven’t heard a new song of his played thereon for quite some time).

So would bagpipes- and they don’t bite when you aqueeze ’em.

rug muncher must mean something different where you come from than what it means here.

Jon Smyth: I’m guessing from the context of getting a “nanny for the rug munchers” the rug munchers are little kids, probably still in the crawling stage.

I once saw a bumper sticker in an election year: “Pro-Accordion, and I Vote”.

I think that idea must have been a bust….

Lynn: I recall the Vancouver cable company, which had its own “network” programming, covered the Miss Nude Northwest competition one year. The coverage was covered in TV Guide. (We had a neighbor who won three years earlier, so I had a neighborly interest in watching.) The winner that year played the accordion for her talent portion. No problem for her, although results my vary.

Turn on the bubble machine! ( Anybody remember Lawrence Welk?? No??? ) That REALLY dates me!!

Uh, is Michael supposed to be playing an accordion or what? I can think of no instrument I’d transcribe that way.
