Arlo and Janis by Jimmy Johnson for December 27, 2013
Transcript:
We want to take a moment this holiday season to thank you, our readers! We especially want to mention our newspaper readers, who are so important to what we do. And if anyone, say your grandkids, gives you a hard time, remind them... We go viral every day in the newspaper!

It would be a sad time if newspapers do go away..Then there won’t be a record of history that can’t be changed as desired.Only take a few minutes to make changes to the Wikipedia page, when certain truths are exposed. Yes it happens.

You appear in my local paper, the Birmingham News, but they only publish three days a week. I get my daily fix here.

It may not be a sow’s ear, but is Arlo suggesting we make a silk purse of the situation?

Best of the season to you Jimmy.
I have to read this Arlo & Janice on ‘gocomics’ as my local paper only carries two comics! Apparent they did a survey and no one reads comics anymore. I guess they were asking the wrong people

Arlo was wearing two fake Elf ears (it was Christmas after all). Janis picked up the one that fell after the hug. I hope no further body parts came in the Elf costume bag.

I used to read A & J in our local paper. When they discontinued it, I found it on-line here. A & J lead me to on-line comics at gocomics, but I still read the ones my local paper prints each day, too. Sadly, A & J isn’t among them! Thanks for years of amusement and insight, Mr. Johnson!

“Except for the comic strips, most newspapers these days ARE worthless.”-Oh, come now. -There’s the crossword puzzles, the editorials, the arrest record (lets me keep up with my kin), the obituaries (lets me know if I’m still here), the jumble and when all is said and done, you can still swat flies with what is left.
