One of my neighbors once got a set of false teeth. If I hadn’t have asked his wife, I would have thought somebody new moved in. He looked completely different with them in.
The first set had to be replaced because of poor fit. The second set still needed adjustment. I used sandpaper to get a fit. Where the gums hurt gave me the clue where to do #220 sanding on the denture. Then, I would wait for the gum’s swelling to go down. It took several months. Working too fast would have destroyed the denture. Things are good, now. My diabetes is under control and no more dental infections.

My Dad got an upper plate recently and now he keeps his upper lip pulled tight against it like it might fall out or he’s trying to hide it….
