They make these super sized plastic bags that work wonders. When we had a real tree, we’d put the bag under the tree stand. When the time came to take the tree down, I’d lift the tree and Mom would move the stand (carefully). Put the tree down, pull the bag up around it and out it went. Still lost some needles, but not nearly as many.

I hear those bags ARE really good. Last time I had a real tree was long ago and I remember trying to clear those long needles from vacuum hoses.
