Oh my.A couple of times in the last few days, Mr. Melcher has left a cursor arrow lying around in the caption….
(I presume he submits a screenshot for publication.)
It’s one thing to be careless outside the picture, another to let a stray element cover part of the artwork…
Today he seems to have taken it to another level….leaving an arrow in an almost meaningful position…. Was it accidental… or meant as a candidate for inclusion in his $2.99 e-book, mentioned to the right….or vying for an Arlo award (for those familiar with CIDU)?
Click-to-enlarge (non-cursor) image can be found here, or at the only work, by this artist, so far, to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.St Francis of Paola in Ecstasy (links show Wikipedia pages) is shown, with different coloration framed and unframed images, and described (Bing text translation), by its current-location page. The artist’s Wikipedia page and collection.
The description says he’s kneeling on a cloud. Hmph. Doesn’t look like a cloud to me. Very strange painting— I think Pietro Bianchi was on Ecstasy.

Francis looks like he’s smoking something. He’s in an altared state.
