The networks know what they are doing. There once was a DVR called REPLAY TV, that would let you fast-forward through the commercials. They got put out of business real fast.

My peeve too!

That’s why I go through five cable remotes a year.

For those of us who don’t bother with cable, thanks goodness for the mute button.

Sorry Jamie; expecting us to watch endless ads is stealing our precious time. So there!

Only during the Super Bowl…

Jamie Kellner is a total idiot to have said that! How is fast forwarding through commercials you’ve already seen advertizing a product you’re not interested in stealing? Everybody gets up to use the bathroom or grab a snackie during commercials, I never watch them! To call that theft is so ridiculous I have to roll my eyes.

It’s the job of ad agents to make us want to watch.

I NEVER SIGNED any “Contract” with a TV Network to watch their boring Ads.

And even if I HAD, THEY VOIDed it when they cancelled FIREFLY!

I have no problem w/FF through all the commercials. Worse are all the unsolicited phone calls. Just like commercials, advertisers are paying someone to harass me with a product that I have purchased (and unlike the TV, there is no carrot with the stick). I don’t bother with those “NO-call” lists because friends do, and there are too many who work around it, so I AM that rude person who hangs up on every unknown number (and if a friend or family get that, they know enough to call right back).

I had a great victory this morning with a number I’ve noticed from ILLINOIS (which I looked up just to be sure it was nothing to do with family) I caught a live person, got an apology and that they WILL take me off their list (I found they are marketing in my lookup, and they had been calling daily).

I love watching interesting/funny commercials THE FIRST TIME! Not the 2957th time in the same show!
