Paige: What's for dinner? Andy: I haven't decided yet. I'm thinking either tacos, spaghetti, or this new turnip burger recipe I found. Paige: Go with the turnip-burgers definitely. Andy: Sounds good. Say, I thought you were eating at Nicole's house tonight. Peter: She is.

Way to go, Paige. You’re making your brothers and father suffer. (I would hate to know what Andy’s taco and spaghetti recipes are.)

I like turnips and greens, but turnip burgers? Reminds me of Cousin Eddie in the Vacation movie. He served hamburger helper and told Clark it tastes even better with meat in it.

Don’t knock the turnip burger until you’ve tried it. We have a lot of surrogate food: turkey burgers, pork dogs, spaghetti squash …
They don’t always taste like the real thing, but they don’t taste bad.

My vegetarian son sent me a text yesterday, relating his unsuccessful effort to make a tasty horseradish patty. I sent back my suggestion, “grilled, coated with salt, and garnished with a 16 oz rib eye.”

If the Creator had intended us to be Vegetarians, why did He make animals out of meat?
