Whatever, at least chocolate is still a vegetable.

Waitā€™ll they find out about granola bars. And bran muffins are no better, and taste like animal feedā€¦. when you consider the fat, sugar, and calories, thereā€™s no reason for continuing the martyrdom.

    Sayleighā€¦ LOLā€¦

No worse for you than granola bars or bran muffinsā€¦ and usually consumed in smaller quantities.

Itā€™s full of theobromine and caffeine. Also thought to trigger endorphins and serotoninā€¦

so itā€™s the gosh-darn happiest vegetable ever.

at the beginning of a Simpsonā€™s episode, bart is seen writing on the blackboard.."I didnā€™t see anything in the teacherā€™s Lounge, ā€œI didnā€™t see anything in the teachers lounge, I didnā€™t see anything in the teacherā€™s loungeā€

    Nabā€¦ I meant it as a plus.

Varnesā€¦ itā€™s cake, not carrots. So it is like candy. They all are.

People laugh at the old Snickers commercials that tout it as foodā€¦then they pay three or four times as much for fancy ā€œenergy barsā€ that are pretty much the same thing, with a couple of extra nutrients you could get in a carrot and a bite of cheese..Granola bars, ā€œbreakfast barsā€, energy drinks, bran muffins, carrot cake,ā€¦ they all have a few more vitamins and a bit more protein than an ounce of chocolateā€¦

But itā€™s all mostly sugar, folks.

White sugar, brown sugar, honeyā€¦. agave syrupā€¦some act fast and some act slowlyā€¦NONE of them are like spinach or chicken.

    Eat ā€˜em if you enjoy ā€™em, donā€™t eat ā€˜em if you donā€™tā€¦.

But I say eat a little of the real stuff that tastes good and quickly satisfies the craving ā€¦.and then get your vitamins and protein from real foodā€¦.and quit wasting money on expensive self-deception.

Wait until you figure out that the yummy meats and animal fats that they told you are unhealthy are actually what you should be eating and itā€™s low-fat, whole-grain crap thatā€™s killing you. Just make sure that the livestock was raised on pasture and not GMO corn and soy. Support your local farmer.

My favorite snack is a Milk Bone. Itā€™s got everything I need, plus it helps clean my teeth.Iā€™ve developed a taste for wood.

In college (U of MI ā€“ Flint), I used to buy blueberrly muffins from the INFO Desk, instead of a doughnut, thinking it was healthier. Then they started to label the muffins. My healthy muffin was 500 calories and about 25 grams of fat.LOL

If it didnā€™t have plenty of sugar, why would you eat it?

Sugar shmugar, itā€™s the amount of oil that goes into zucchini bread thatā€™s shocking. And yes, about the only thing that separates zucchini bread from carrot cake is cream cheese frosting. But thatā€™s a BIG thing, calorie wise!

Depends entirely on the recipe. My wife and I have been making various types of ā€œbreadā€ (zucchini, pumpkin, others) using flax meal as the base and theyā€™re surprising tastyā€”without frosting! (Yeah, weā€™re talking low-carb here. Kind of a disovery by accident that worked out well.)

Take your standard zucchini bread recipe and replace a quarter to a third of the flour with ground pecans. Healthier and so extremely good.
