I was thinking, “what would winter be like if he didn’t outright defy it.” I’m guessing if Nate quit it really would be the “the storm of the century” and the others would be begging him come back.

If you listen the local weather people, any hint of precipitation is the same, even for humans.Good morning, Crew!Technical question: Does anyone use Chrome, especially when they are on GoComics? A friend of mine uses Chrome and everything was fine on GoComics until last week. Now, the calendar doesn’t pop-up, the comic doesn’t enlarge and the other buttons (favorite, etc) don’t work either. She also goes to seattlepi to read other comics and she’s having trouble with the comments on that website.I’m thinking that because it worked fine before, that maybe Chrome did some update that messed her up. She uses a PC, if that’s relevant. Thanks for any feedback!

I never installed it. When ever there was an Acrobat Reader udadate I’d be directed to their site where Accrobat Reader kept offering a free download. I kept saying no thanks to their annoying offer.

Whimpy?

Well the VERY first thing I thought of was the 1999 Mini-Series, written by Stephen King, “Storm of the Century”, starring Tim Daly, among others. GREAT MOVIE!

I’ve been plagued with pop-ups, and as you know, I am a Pro too. They show up at the side of the page, the very bottom of the page, at the very top of the comment section under the comic strip, etc. And then some days, nothing is wrong at all. And I also don’t use Chrome.

I’ve not seen a popup, “recommended” or ad of any type since I got this computer in September…

Shika, it allows you to download files from the internet in pdf format. They can be stored and saved on your computer. Also, copy machines can copy documents into pdf format. It ’s now a more common and convenient way of sending documents than faxing. Of course, having Acrobat Reader will enable you to open pdf files sent to you via e-mail. We often convert documents into pdf format and send via e-mail to our auditors.

As a “Pro” I don’t have a problem with ads.

Now THAT’S dedication … much to Louie’s delight, I’m sure.

Winter storm severity is relative to geographic location. Two inches of snow can cause cause chaos where two feet elsewhere means you put chains on.

At least they haven’t gone that far. It’s just getting ridiculous, naming storms to make them seem more momentous than they actually are. Someone pointed out recently that if it keeps up, soon thunderstorms will be given names.
