This reminds me of me and my own little sister, and our perpetual argument over whether or not George Washington wore a wig (he didnât, but despite me presenting many official sources for that information, my sister refuses to believe me).
Itâs gory because itâs true! Itâs not a myth about the Teddy Bearâs picnic, itâs about how God deals with rebellious human beings who totally reject Him and His ways and âdo their own thing", as the popular phrase goes. Without God weâre totally self-serving, and that causes every problem weâve ever had.
Actually, old George was the master of deception, especially when it came to duping the British Army into thinking he was there when he wasnât. The Colonial Army had a habit of slipping off during the night and not showing up for the battle. Contrary to what some history books teach, America won the war mostly by not fighting the British.
âTo win 1,000 victories in 1,000 battles is not the epitome of skill. The epitome of skill is to subdue the enemy without fighting.â SunTzu â The Art of War.
The Bible is a compilation of 66 books and letters written by approximately 40 different authors over approximately 1600 years. Do you suppose they all conspired to trick you? While you do show all the signs of being fooled; I can asure you it wasnât by them. Your eyes will remain blinded to the truth until the day you decide to truly search for it. Itâs always easier to denie something you know nothing about.

If you know youâre lying, Sally, you are not innocent, youâve just added manipulation and hypocrisy to your lie.

Unfortunately, in the years since this cartoon originally ran, too many parents have opted to embrace the psychologistsâ view.
