You are not allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon. Very strange feeling for someone from out of state. I got yelled at by the attendant when I got out and reached for the nozzle!

I remember writing an estimate for a woman in Mclean VA in the 1990’s.She had bought a 1962 Buick for her teenaged son to drive. She bought it thinking it was so big he would be safe in it. The upside, she said, was he could barely afford the gas to take it out of the driveway.He clobbered a deer in that driveway while backing out of the garage.
