The overall IQ of the field of GOP candidates for president just dropped about a hundred points. Of course, this also means that the GOP debates in 2016 will be a lot less fun. Unless Christie decides to run anyway.

It’s January 2014, this will be a bit of Christie lore by December.

Well, he’s either petty and vindictive (and doesn’t care who gets hurt), or he doesn’t know what his hand-picked top aides, who he’s known since high school — and for whom he created their official jobs from whole cloth — are doing in his name.

    That’s presidential timber, there.

That was mild for NJ… He’s only got what…? Like 20 or 30 more serious scandals to catch up to “I didn’t know about that” Obama….

A very good and thoughtful post for a more conservative poster here. Personally, I cannot conceive of the ultra conservatives such as the tea party types even thinking of running Christy, and so his chances of even getting the nomination itself were always chancy at best, anyway. And if his chances of ever becoming POTUS were even reasonable, and this situation pans out the way it seems to be going, hat he is either simply incompetent to run his own staff or New Jersey itself, or even worse he is a vindictive jerk. Then his chances are now just about zero of ever taking that high office!

Perhaps (as I stated on another thread) if she decides to actually run, Hillery will necessitate the tea party types selecting at least one woman candidate. Perhaps Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann? And if so, I wonder just what they will end up calling Bill Clinton, either “First Man”, or perhaps even “First Ex President”??

Pretty shallow water under that bridge, and the politics is even shallower. Liked John Stewart’s take on NJ over the years, and just how corrupt the state has always been.
