Frazz: Want to grab a pizza later?
Mr. Burke: No, thanks. I've got a physical in two weeks.
Frazz: I think studying for a cholesterol test is supposed to be the punch line.
Mr. Burke: I'm not studying. I'm preparing.
Haha! I loved the ABO Blood group jokes! The comic today was also wonderfully funny (as usual)!+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++But, just to make sure the common misconception is not perpetuated…. having a drastic food change that is not a long-term commitment a few days or a week before a cholesterol test will not really impact numbers. Cholesterol levels change gradually, and are due to a mix of genetics, stress and diet, but the influence from diet takes consistency over the long haul of many, many months to years.
Contrary to the high-and-mighty opinions here, Frazz has always been portrayed as flawed:
He’s a slow swimmer, even though he taught Caulfield (more incited him to get in the pool than anything else). And his doggedness riding and running are often the source of humour when things go belly up..
Both him and Prof. Burke suck at basketball where they both admit to have low scoring gamesl. I guess to an extent it is a credit to the artwork that poor shooting form can be observed
He admittedly dresses atrociously and is banned from getting presents to his family.
For me, the cool thing (besides being a cyclist myself and so being able to relate) is how these flaws don’t seem to stop him for trying.
As for being a demigod, Mallet is a well-know cycling and triathlon enthusiast with a good eye for satire. S omaybe more of an aspirational avatar for the author?. See “Roadie”. But I guess it is easy to only pick the times Frazz delivers the punchline as opposed to when he is the punchline..

I’m O-. One of these years I need to learn “The Universal Soldier” well enough to rewrite it as “The Universal Donor”.

Remember the old days before Burke slimmed down? It’s good to see reminders that he’s stuck with his new lifestyle

I thought that the joke was “Studying for a urine test”!
