Television: After meeting with motion picture industry lobbyists, the Disney corporation today announced plans to overhaul its "Pirates of the Caribbean" themepark attraction yet again. Modified in 1997 out of sensitivity to women patrons, the ridew ill now also include audioanimatronic portrails of kazaa users and overseas DVD duplication labs in a nod to Hollywood interests. It's important for the public to see that the dark scourge of piracy includes more than the jolly slashing of swords and sinking of ships," said a grim mpaa chief Jack Valenti after the announcement. Kazaa users could not be tracked for comment. Jason: Am I on "candid camera," here?

Ah, the quest for political correctness. It would have Tom Sawyer speaking in VIctorian drawing room fashion.

I got stuck on the PotC ride at DisneyWorld in ’73. We were right were the pirates were sacking the village; our car was stuck by the drunken pirates, the dog and mule. After 30 minutes of “Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum” “Eeehaw, eeehaw” “Bark bark, bark bark” we were ready to go pirate ourselves.I understand that is part of the ride that is gone completely. I wonder what the pirate do now? Sit around and play bridge, drink tea and eat scones?
