This points out a huge downside to our global computerization. Just this week I tried calling a large local clinic. When someone finally answered the phone and I asked for a department, she said they were having phone problems and to call back in an hour. When I called back (and for another hour and a half after that), the line was busy. It was obvious to me that they had moved to IP phones and there was a computer problem. Too much reliance on computers! Not even talking about the nasty hacking that’s going on, this is going to bite us, hard!

But officer, I’m just climbing in the window so I can charge my phone so I can open the front door.

And my friends don’t understand why I still write down names and phone numbers in addition to entering them in my phone.

It’s always good to still have the old “analog” keys. :-)
