I couldnât agree more. Itâs what Iâve been pointing out on Go Comics for some time nowâŠthe arbitrary misuse of colorization of the original black and white dailies. Just because certain licensed parties know what colors Mr. Schulz assigned for the Sunday color strips does NOT automatically mean he would have garishly used the same colors to express mood and sentiment the same way. The fourth panel of todayâs strip looks more like someone threw a bucket of red paint in an act of vandalism. In my personal opinionâŠthe artist would NOT have colored the character so improperly from head to toe, and the overall re-colorization is a mistake. I can learn to live with the colorized panels as theyâve been doneâŠnothing is going to stop that now. But putting full colors on characters to express moodsâŠthat is just plain wrong and an assault on the original form and intent of the strip. Again, my opinion.
He gets madder about this than he does about her tricking him with the football. That would make me madder than this. But no, itâs not worth the jail time. Just slap her across the face. Youâll be reprimanded, maybe punished but you wonât go to jail Charlie Brown.
@FanOfPeanuts,I agree with both you and stcrowe about the coloring of this strip, but there have been certain times when I thought the full colors like the reds and yellows add something to the comic. The main thing I wanted to ask is, why after typing out that large, descriptive comment, do you end with stating that its just your opinion? What do you mean by it? Do you mean that after all you said, no one should pay it any mind because its just an opinion? Because if thatâs it than i think your wrong( and THIS isnât just an opinion) I think that no matter who you are or what you say, your âopinionâ matters. Again though, this is just my, fact.

Not a big fan of the overuse of red in that last frame. Just seems a bit much.

Since Schulz grew up in Minnesota, you are probably right.
