Well, the Dutch still have tulips (and the redlight district).

Saying legal marijuana is a grand experiment is like saying that for the first time, people of color outnumber those of European extract in the USA.

Those Dutch need not worry. Legalized safe injection sites already puts them ahead in this game.

Also:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_cannabis_by_country…Check out Uruguay. Cultivation, sale and possession of pot is all legal as of Dec/13.…And, of all places, North Korea??? (Legality unknown, but apparently widely tolerated or legal)

Went to the Netherlands once and stayed in Amsterdam. Such a wild night, I woke up in Holland.

A wise man once said, it is easier to put on a sweater than it is to heat the whole world. Well, that is what we try to tell our teen daughter, anyway.

i can hardly wait for pot to be made universally legal. That way, people will see it for what it is——-a useless, if harmless way to waste time——-a deadly bore

Lung cancer and accidents are no concern. Of course, my European relatives disagree, but that’s them.

I loved Amsterdam — I really didn’t see any of the seedy stuff I keep hearing about. Loved the boats, Anne Frank House, Rembrandt House, transportation system was wonderful. Only regret not having time to go to the van Gogh Museum — but had just been to an exhibit close to home.

“Progressive laws” So “Progressive” here means “laws that give freedom to people taking the action in question”. So that would mean India has the most progressive rape laws, Denmark and Belgium have pretty progressive child rape laws, North Korea has progressive state intervention laws, a few African countries have awfully progressive murder laws, some countries allow drunk drivers to skate free so they are progressive too, Saudi Arabia is progressive on misogyny,….

No, “progressive” as in “moving humanity forward”, rather than backward to the 15th century as in “conservative”.

Note to anyone reading Doonesbury from the beginning: this is the last new daily strip until at least 4/20/2020; you can just read Sundays until at least 4/19/2020.
