No, Burl, he probably doesn’t need water to frame your picture, but he DOES need water to drown you!

The sign reads Frame This, after dealing with the Pennys, Frank is going to rewrite the sign! If he turns around he will see that the bad check was written by none other than….Burl!

How many times has each of us heard this litany of excuses from one provider(?) or another as to why they haven’t or can’t do what they said they could. On this, I’m with Burl.

Are they getting another clown painting framed?I’m sure it’s urgent.

Yes, sometimes excuses are just excuses…. but sometimes bad things do happen.

Do they know this fellow? Has he done things on time before? Does he have a good reputation…well, then…. maybe he’s telling the truth.I try to give people the benefit of the doubt…. at least the first time… and usually the second…. cos I’m a patsy….

But not the Pennys, cos there’s no longer any doubt….. and cos they never give an inch, themselves.And of course, only the most disreputable service people, or even medical professionals, will take them as clients or patients, cos they’ve run through all the nice, honest, friendly ones.

They eventually get sent away by everyone except those who are so inept they get no other business, or so mercenary they try to squeeze an extra buck by taking on an “untouchable” client.

I am SO glad I don’t cut their hair.

They are a thoughtful group.. Thinking only of themselves.

Maybe the clown pic. scared him and he has it upside down somewhere.

I also think the check is from Burl, He canceled it because he wasn’t happy with the frame they picked out the last time.

But it’s still hanging up in their home somewhere.

A lot of bad luck there. Amazing how Burl ignores the first three issues. Burl give him a break or cancel the order and find someone else to do it if you can’t wait. As for the framer when a business has a series of events like this to disrupt the flow they tend to be follow by more and more. Then one day the business is closed.

And while he’s at it, they want to see if he can remove the word PROOF from across the middle of the photo.

I think the Halloween special should be a hint that perhaps service is slow here. .But I think with all his difficulties and finally his water broke perhaps this will never be done. ’The reality is the guy is not sorry, he just wants sympathy for his pathetic situation and is trying to buy time. Next time they come in he will have more trouble, perhaps his shipment of highly reflective glass is back ordered. .Wonder what they needed framed, Burl’s local U-Stor it employee of the year award given by the local U-store it manager.

Frank is stumbling through his mental Rolodex of ready-made excuses to hide the truth: like Seinfeld’s Kramer, Frank is (drum roll please!!) TERRIFIED OF CLOWNS!!

btw: First bad check isn’t signed “Burl Penny”??

I would think they would get their picture frames at yard sales.

The same thing applies to mechanics who specialize in working on ’50’s MG’s and Jags. Take ‘em in, never see ’em again. I doubt that God himself could balance the MG’s side-draft carbs, stop their oil leaks, or overcome that great lord of darkness, Lucas.

All would be well if Frank would have put out… a candy dish…. ! ! ! !

Or……could it be that the Penny’s had traded there before and now are getting their own excuses thrown back at them?Good people often have bad or unfortunate things happen to them – sometimes all at once, more than a lot of people realize or will admit. I suspect the Penny’s wanted the picture framed ‘yesterday’. If so, then karma has just bit!!!!!
