When I was an Army recruit I did have to peel tomatoes like that during many a KP duty.

didn’t have that problem in the Air Force, they had cooks for us. The only KP we did was at Lackland in basic training and all we did was dishes. If you got that many leftovers, Potato Pancakes for Breakfast.
