It would sound weirder still if it were spoonerized: Pit or get off the shot. In any case, Katy seems to have grasped the spirit if not the letter(s) of that famous admonition. Well, not to everyone, since it appears that some had not heard it before — a reminder never to assume that ‘everyone’ knows thus and so, whatever it may be.
